Edition 2024

To mark the start of the 2024 trajectory, all semi-finalists and business panel members were invited to our kick-off event. During the event, they had the opportunity to network while enjoying live music and drinks. Next to building connections, Cas van de Voort from Weco – the Wave Energy Collective was our inspiring guest speaker.

The first training day of our trajectory was the coaching day. Held at the headquarters of our platinum partner, KPN, all the semi-finalists participated in a comprehensive day of in-depth sessions with innovation teams from Philips, Equinix, KPMG, KPN, NS, and PGGM, intellectual property experts from Arnold & Siedsma, and experts in disruption from SparkOptimus and Deltares.

To emphasize our gratitude for the partners who have joined the Philips Innovation Award, we hosted a Platinum Partner Dinner at Hoogtij Amsterdam. Our Platinum Partners play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Philips Innovation Award has evolved from merely a pitch event to truly an accelerating trajectory, including numerous training days for our participating startups. It was an inspiring evening with individuals who share a passion for supporting innovation and making a difference.

Looking back on Investor Day! The goal of this day was to guide startups through the funding process, connect with potential investors, and offer insights on choosing the right funding strategy. It was a day full of pre-matched speed dating sessions with a wide range of early-stage investors from different fields: Arches Capital, Benedict Peax, David Cerda, FORWARD.one, Graduate Entrepreneur, Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland, IQ Capital, Lumo Labs, NextGen Ventures, Noaber, Rockstart, Shamrock Ventures, Slingshot Ventures, Tenzing Alpha, UNIIQ, Valor Ventures, and YES!Funded.

The first-ever edition of the PHIA Find Your Talent Day!

This new training day aims to connect startups seeking potential talent with end-phase students who might be looking for opportunities to work for a startup as an employee, intern, or co-founder.

We want to thank Leonne Dieleman from YES!Delft and Graciëlla van Vliet from Closure and Jochem.ai for their useful tips and insights regarding working for a startup and finding new talent.

Looking back, it has been a very fruitful addition to the PHIA trajectory!
